I am hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail July 11-20, 2026 and I am so excited to be back on trail! It is a beautiful trail with easy access, simple resupply, and it’s a loop so I will end up right back where I started…no transportation logistics required! It is the next step in preparing for the Continental Divide Trail in 2027. I will be starting near Echo Lake and hiking counter clockwise. (I’ve been told that if I hike counter clockwise, I will actually be younger when I finish, lol.)

I will be stopping to resupply at Tramway Market and in Tahoe City on the north end of the lake. I will also have two water caches for dry sections on the east side of the lake. My goal is to post several times from the trail to learn the WordPress mobile app and develop a personal routine for updating my blog as I hike. After I start hiking, you can follow my real time progress, read blog posts from the trail and view photos uploaded to Google Photos.
