Hi, I’m Loren and I love to hike.! I’m 64, retired, and hike as much as I can. Day hikes, backpacking, and thru-hiking…I do it all. My hiking resume includes:

  • The John Muir Trail (1988-first time)
  • The Pacific Crest Trail (2014)
  • The Continental Divide Trail (2018)
  • The Arizona Trail (2023)
  • The Ouachita Trail (2024)
  • Tahoe Rim Trail (2025)

I ha also done a bit of mountaineering, including Mt Elbrus in Russia and Aconcagua in Argentina. I attempted Mt Elbrus in Kyrgyzstan, but failed to summit. I hope to climb Kilimanjaro in Africa in the next couple of years.
